Disneyland

Just a quick post with mostly pictures. My typing is very slow because of hand surgery, so I will not be saying much...Thank you to Christy and Tony who came with us! Without you, we would've been waaaaayyyyyy outnumbered and it wouldn't have been nearly as much fun!

PS. I know the kids look like little orphans. However, they have two parents who love and care for them very much. Please do not judge us by the way their hair looks...especially Blake :)

The kids were so good, as usual. No meltdowns, no fighting. For having five kids, they sure make my life easy. It's a busy life, but trips like these remind me why I wanted such a big family.

Brooklyn's 5th Birthday

This post is really late, but it's been a busy month so far. Brooklyn decided she wanted to invite a couple friends to Build-a-Bear for her birthday. Much easier for me than having a birthday party. So, we had dinner at Olive Garden, then off to Build-a-bear Workshop.
That place is obnoxiously yellow. I was really bugged...yellow floors, yellow walls.
The girls were cute playing pretend with their Hello Kitties.
On the way out of the mall, we had to go through Nordstrom to get to the car. The girls kept gasping and pointing at clothes that they thought were "So cute!" I am in big trouble when Brooklyn gets older.
They kept making the elevator doors open back up. They were laughing soooo hard. It was pretty funny. I'm sure the Nordstrom people thought we were really annoying, but I didn't care. They must've played with the elevator for 10 minutes straight. Happy birthday Brookie girl! We love you!

Introducing...

Indiana Jones Halleck Berkabile (don't ask). We call him Indy, or Indiana if he's in trouble. Grandma's dog had babies, and the kids begged and begged to have one. Finally, Dad gave in. Mom stood her ground, but lost in the end. He is pretty cute. He's a Shitzu and the runt of the litter. He was the only brown one out of all the puppies born. He's been pretty good so far, and the kids have taken really good care of him. Anybody want a hamster??? Is it bad that I'm not really a pet person? I'm way too OCD for pets, but I am trying my best.

Ice Cream Truck

The Ice Cream truck comes every night right before dinner. It makes me crazy! And every single night, Lincoln comes in with a free ice cream. I don't know how he does it, but he gets one for free everyday. So I was asking Taylor, "How does Lincoln get free ice cream everyday?" And she said, "I don't know. Maybe Lincoln saved the ice cream lady's life one time, and now she owes him free ice cream for the rest of his life!" I just said, "Hmmm. Maybe."

In other news: Blake's 100 lb backpack finally broke today. The strap broke this morning on her way to school. I was a little surprised it was the strap. I thought for sure the bottom would fall out any day. She called me after school and said there was no way she could ride home with her backpack broken. I told her to find someone she knew from the ward, and give them her backpack. So, thanks Chandra for saving my little Blakey today!!

Saturday in the park, I think it was the Fourth of July...

Tonight, I went to see Chicago with my Dad. This was my 6th Chicago concert. I can remember going with my family when I was about 13/14 years old, and knowing every single song. I LOVE this band! The only thing better than a Chicago concert, is a Bon Jovi concert. These guys are in their 60's, and they ROCK! There is nothing better than seeing one of your favorite bands - live. I'm talkin' 60's/70's rock band Chicago, not 80's church dance Chicago. Don't get me wrong, I love their 80's stuff. Jim and I danced to "You're the Inspiration" at our wedding. There is just something about their early stuff that gets me. I love it!! I put a few of my fav's on my playlist as a tribute to one of the most talented bands EVER! I missed my Mom & my Sisters, but we will re-unite for another Bon Jovi concert next month! YAY!!!! Thanks for giving up your Chicago ticket for me, Mom!

Valley of Fire (photo overload)

A couple weeks ago when the weather was nice and warm, we took the kids out to climb around at Valley of Fire. It was the first time the kids and I had ever been. It was a blast! I was shocked and a little freaked out at how fearless they all were. Even Diddy. They were all good little climbers. I brought my camera along, and I am so glad I did. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day. I didn't get very many shots of Tate. She must've been a really fast climber! Brooklyn surprised us. She's usually such a princess, but she was almost always the first one to the top. I think next time we go, we will actually camp out...maybe.

Sorry, no pictures...

I really want to blog about something, because I finally have a moment to myself, but I don't know what to blog about. I have about 100 pictures, but they are all un-edited, because I am a really slow editor, because I just got CS4, and I don't really know how to use it yet.

Last week was the busiest week, and this next week is going to be crazy, and then I was thinking, the whole month of March is just going to be nuts! My upstairs looks like a bomb went off, I can't keep up on the laundry, Brooklyn's birthday is on Wednesday and I can't even figure out when we are going to have a birthday party for her. She won't just settle for Build-a-Bear with a few friends. She wants a bouncy house water slide, and I keep telling her it's too cold outside but she won't take "no" for an answer.

Diddy has been singing "Jesus wants me for a FUN-BEAM!" all day (she can't say her "s" es), and Lincoln said in his prayer, "Bless Diddy won't say the "F" word anymore, and bless we won't stick up our middle finger."

Tomorrow, the kids have the day off from school, so I promised them I would take them to Cici's Pizza (or Fici's if you're Diddy) for lunch, and I am soooo looking forward to my photography class tomorrow night. Jim is letting me buy a 50mm lens for my camera!!!

Our YW auction fund raiser is this weekend, and our neighbors are auctioning off their hamster, and I'm starting to think that's a pretty good idea.

If I stay up for 30 more minutes, I can watch the Amazing Race on my DVR.

So, there you go. My nonsense, random post. This post is exactly how I feel lately. So much information in my head, and so many things to do, and everything ends up being jumbled up nonsense.
