Today...

Lincoln lost his first tooth...

We had a small swimming party for my Mom's birthday...

We found out Indiana Jones can swim...

We had such a fun day. After we swam, we all went to see "Night at the Museum". It was cute. We missed Jim, who had Woodbadge Certification and Robby and Brandon, who both had to work. It was a nice, relaxing day. I am soooo excited for summer! I LOVE hanging out by the pool. Thank you to Kelly for bringing cupcakes from Retro Bakery, and thank you to my family for an awesome day!! Happy birthday Mom!

29 again???

I don't know how it's possible that I'm older than my own mom! Happy birthday mom! You don't look like you could be anybody's grandma. I hope you have a fun party today with your family :)

A carnival, a wet dog, and a baby turtle???

We had a busy, fun weekend. Friday night was the famous annual school carnival. Since Lincoln and Jim went to the Father/Son camp out, we decided to make it a girls night at the carnival. Auntie Moe came along and it was a fun time. Blake is giving Brooklyn important Cake Walk instructions, but I'm not really sure if Brookie is paying much attention.
Blake will now attempt to dunk Mrs. Collins!

After 3 misses, she decided just to run up and push the button.

Isn't that the cutest balloon? Diddy asked for a ladybug and they made her a flower to go with it. Notice Taylor in the background. This is the only picture I have of her. She ditched us and ran off with her friends. That's OK, though!

Riding the choo choo train.

What??!! Auntie Moe popped my balloon in the grass???!!!! Oh, man.

Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent?

Saturday, we spent a good 3 or 4 hours in the pool. The first time this year! The boys like to jump off the top rock. Once in a while, I let them do it so I can get a picture. Notice the naked barbies on the waterfall. We never have a shortage of naked barbies in the pool, thanks to Brookie & Diddy!

Are these two the cutest? Cousins. 4 months apart.

Look at Brooklyn, trying to be brave. She's getting so big!

Indiana Jones followed Blake right down the slide. Pretty sure he won't do that again! He looked like a little wet cancer patient dog.

Diddy found a baby turtle in the back yard. We have no idea how he got there, but the kids named him Rico! We gave him to Hailey & Westley, since their mom is a crazy pet lady.

Really???

Ok, so my wife is going crazy with the whole coupon thing. Every day I hear how much money she is saving us. I wouldn't have believed it, but last week we went to the store together and when the checkout lady told us how much money we saved, both she and the couple behind us were in awe.

So I come home from work today and walk past the food storage closet and I hear a noise inside. I open the door and I see Blake stacking the cereal boxes. I knew Kirsten was buying cereal, but really? So yes, all that you see there was purchased for under $20 but I'm pretty sure that would feed our whole street in the event of a food shortage.

So this is my official invite. When the national dissaster happens, and you find yourselves with a Pops or Frosted Flakes craving, Come on over.

Hey wife, sorry to hijack your blog but I couldn't resist. I hear rice crispies are on sale this week!!

Mother's Day

I had the best weekend, thanks to my sweet family! Friday, I had my house cleaned! Wooohooo! It's been a year and a half since we let our cleaning lady go, and I feel like I haven't stopped cleaning since. I feel like I can breathe now. The best part is, I get to KEEP her!!! Yay!

Sunday morning, I woke up and breakfast was ready...the kids already fed, and roses on the kitchen counter. The kids made me about 10 presents each (that's 50 total). Also, I got $100 to spend at H & M!!!! Wait, it gets better. I walked outside to go to church, and, yep, my 5 newspapers were waiting for me with all my coupons!! After church, I got to take a NAP! I did cook dinner, but Jim was a huge help, and the kids all kept saying "Mom, this is soooo good!" "I love this dinner" "This is my favorite dinner!" Usually, at least one of them complains. I think Jim must've bribed them to LOVE my cooking last night. They are sooooo sweet! I had the best Mother's Day, ever! Thanks family- especially you, Jimmers. OK, so who wants to go shopping with me????

Brookie Doodah

I can't believe it's about time to register this one for Kindergarten. I will miss her. That will only leave me with Dylan at home, and Diddy is all signed up for Pre-school twice a week! Where does the time go? Dylan is soooo almost potty-trained. She wears underwear more than diapers. I am almost done buying diapers. I have been buying diapers for over 10 years. I have to be honest, I have been really sad, lately, knowing that my babies are growing up. I have been thinking, maybe we should have one more. If being pregnant wasn't so miserable, I would have a couple more in a heartbeat. I just can't, though. It has been hard to resign myself to the fact that we are on to the next phase...letting them all grow up.

Talk about deja vu

Taylor went to a "decades" birthday party. She wanted to go as an '80's rockstar. I never thought my 10 year old would be wearing clothes that I wore when I was 10. It makes me feel a little old. I taught her the old Molly Ringwald white-girl sway from "Breakfast Club". I have to say, despite the fashion of the '80's, that decade produced some pretty good movies and music. It took me about 30 minutes to crimp her hair. She said she wants to start wearing it like that all the time now. Great.
